Grove Racing Unveils Stunning Penrite Anniversary Livery
Melbourne-based Grove Racing has unveiled a stunning new livery design at a sponsor function on Friday night, ahead of a public event today. The team is aiming for a maiden Supercars title this season with drivers Matt Payne and Kai Allen, who will be joined by Will Davison and Tim Slade in the Enduro Cup.
The squad finished second in the teams' championship in the 2025 season, with Payne and Garth Tander winning Bathurst and Allen as a Grand Finalist. Grove Racing owner Stephen Grove expressed his excitement, stating, 'Celebrating 100 years of Penrite Oil is a special moment for our team.'
The new livery is more than just a visual update. It symbolizes the strength of Grove Racing's partnerships, which are integral to their success. Grove added, 'It reflects the standards we hold ourselves to and our commitment to performing at the highest level.'
The cars will carry the numbers #19 and #26, paying homage to the year Penrite was established. Penrite Oil CEO Toby Dymond shared his pride in reaching the company's 100th year, saying, 'The gold livery is a meaningful way to mark this milestone.'
Dymond continued, 'Penrite began in 1926 as an Australian-made, family-owned business, and seeing '19' and '26' on the cars is a reminder of our journey and the legacy we continue to build.'
Throughout the year, Penrite will celebrate its golden era with various events and activations, honoring its history while looking forward. Dymond concluded, 'Motorsport has always been a significant part of our story, and we're excited for the season ahead.'
The black and gold livery draws inspiration from the iconic JPS colors of the 1970s and 1980s, a tribute paid by Penrite-backed Erebus in 2019. Meanwhile, Grove Racing is set to compete in the Bathurst 12 Hour with a Mercedes-AMG GT3, driven by Allen, Davison, and Brenton Grove.
