Rylee Erisman, a 16-year-old swimming prodigy, dominated the Florida 4A High School District Meets, showcasing her talent and prowess in the pool. Erisman's remarkable performance included winning the 50 freestyle in 22.69 and the 100 free in 50.20, contributing to the Windermere girls' team victory and their advancement to regionals. This success follows her impressive gold medal haul at the World Junior Swimming Championships.
The district meets saw fierce competition across various schools, with standout performances from individual swimmers. Creekside's Emmie Lewis and Blake Beaver, Sanford Seminole's Mazie Moberly and Lexie O'Keefe, Oviedo's Keira Druck and Ian Heysen Ricci, and many others, all left their mark with personal bests and impressive times.
Windermere, one of the district winners, showcased its strength with Erisman's wins and the contributions of Brynn Lavigueur and Mai Perez. Other notable teams included Orlando Freedom, Harmony, Jupiter, Newsome, Palm Harbor University, Sarasota Riverview, Marjory Stoneman Douglas, Cypress Bay, and Doral Academy, each advancing to regionals with their top swimmers.
